Gamma spectrometry

Lead-210 age determinations, fall-out measurements on limnic and marine sediments, as well as the determination of the dose rate in luminescence age determination by the analysis of uranium, thorium and potassium concentrations, can be undertaken using three low-level gamma spectrometers (Ametek, ORTEC and Canberra Eurisys), comprising a high purity germanium detector (HPGe) of well type with  240 cm³ active volume, as well as two high purity germanium detectors of N-type with 25 % relative efficiency, standard electronic 92X Spektrum Master and DESPEC  as well as Gammavision 6.09 software.
