The 23rd "Salt Water Intrusion Meeting" (SWIM"23) took place June 16-20 2014 in Husum. For the first time since 1979, German scientists again took the initiative to host this bi-annual expert meeting in Germany. The origins of SWIM date back to a first meeting of Danish, Dutch and German scientists in Hanover in November 1968.
