LIAG-Seminar: Using Electron Spin Resonance dating on quartz to understand the youngest tectonics movement of the Alpine chain

Vortragende: Erick Prince und Valentina Argante

First earthquake ages from fault gouges along the Periadriatic Fault System will be presented. They indicate the accommodation of seismotectonic deformation through the fault system within the last 4 Ma, as well as the exhumation ages due to the slip of three different alpine faults. Both ages were obtained by the application of ESR dating.

Teilnahme online und kostenlos.
